Costumes, decorations, comedy, music, and good food maKe Madrigal Feaste a tradition for many. Our performance space is lavishly decorated to resemble the outer courtyard of a medieval castle where jesters jest, jugglers juggle, and merchants sell their merchandise. Village beggars are also out in earnest to finangle a few coppers from unwary guests as they listen to brass and woodwind ensembles. We are occasionally visited also by bagpipers and handbell choirs who fill the air with their own very special renditions of Christmas favorites. The gymnasium is transformed into a regal banquet hall lit by candles and dim lights shining through stained glass windows. Guests are invited into the hall by the towne crier whereupon they are served delights for the eyes, ears, and tummy. hear ye, hear ye!!! Lay your worries at your feet and step back into time as Their Royal highnessess welcome you into their Kingdom with delightful songs sung by the members of the Royal Court! |
