High School Music Theatre -- This program features faculty from one of the foremost music theatre schools in the country. Daily work in vocal training, dance, and acting will be held along with master classes and the staging of a full production.
Junior High Music Theatre -- This process-oriented program will be lead by instuctors and students from one of the leading schools in music theatre. This residence camp will culminate in a full production.
OREGON
Oregon Children's Theatre Acting Academy -- This program focuses on helping students develop theatre and life skills in a fun and safe atmosphere. All classes end with a final class presentation for an audience of friends and family.
Oregon Shakiespeare Festival Summer Seminar for High School Juniors -- Students get a glimpse of how a pepertory theatre works and attend workshops and forums led by members of the OSF company. Students attend nine festival producitons.
PENNSYLVANIA
Camp Ballibay for the Fine and Performing Arts -- This program combines noncompetitive production experience with classes, and workshopsk, and offers a variety of outdoor recreational activities in a rustic environment.
Camp Walnut -- All students perform at the end of camp which is held at a historic professional theatre in Center City Philadelphia. There will be one play, one musical, and four original showcases. Beginners can explore their imagination in the Discovery Division and advanced students improve their skills in th eDevelopment Division; the Performance Division offers a uniue opportunity for the advanced student.
Carnegie Mellon Summer Pre-College Program -- Six weeks of intensive theatre training for high school students.
Mercersburg Theatre Arts Workshop -- The goal of this workshop is to expose high school students to all aspects of theatre production through an actual production. Participants are immersed in theatrical experiences, splitting their time between classes and rehearsal. The session culminates in a performance created during the week.
Pre-College Summer Institute -- High school students get a taste of the college experience in this workshop- and production-oriented program set in the dynamic environment and excellent undergraduate facilities of UArts. Through challenging studio work and exciting social activities, the program aims to help students fidn their way as artists, thinikers, creators, and performers.
Summer Theatre Institute at DeSales University -- Students will perform in an informal showcase at the ocnslusion of th eprogram. They will attend multiple producitons at the Pensylvania Shakespeare Festival, also in residence at DeSales University. Residential students will attend a Broadway production.
RHODE ISLAND
TheatreBridge -- Six weeks of immersive theatre study for high school students.
TEXAS
Texas Art Project -- TAP is a three-week boarding camp featuring cross-curricular courses designed to develop well-rounded artists. Students choose to major in acting, dance, musical theatre, filmmaking, or technical theatre. Participants enjoy a variety of social activities inlcuding the opportunity to attend professional productions. Campers juggle a tight schedule of classes, activities, and rehearsals for the final showcase. Also available in Jr. and advanced.
UTAH
Utah Shakespearean Festival Summer Education Programs -- The Utah Shakepearean Festival provides in-depth acting and technical classes taught by working professional actors and technicians for five- and ten-day residencies. Tech classes include backstage job shadowing through producitons. Other classes include one-on-one instruction and actor training.
VERMONT
Musical Theatre Performance Intensive -- Students work intensively in three areas: vocal technique, physical acting, and song interpretation. The program, led by instructors from New York City's Circle in the Square theatre school, aims to help students deepen their performance and access their own true humanity.
VIRGINIA
American SHakespeare Center Young Company Theatre Camp -- Participants study the American Shakespeare Center/Elizabethan approach ot theatre in classes, workshops, and rehearsals. Students receive free admission to all performances by the professional resident company Students are cast in one of three Shakespeare plays, to be performed on the last day of the program.
Camp Curtain Call -- Set in Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains at a rural summer camp with a lake, swimming pool, and comfortable cabins, this program features musical and drama producitons and in-depth classes in various areas of performing and visual arts, as well as traditional camp activities.
WASHINGTON
Columbia Gorge School of Theatre -- Students study acting, singing, and dancing during the day with professionals fron around the country. Evenings are devoted to rehearsal. All students perform in a produciton for parents on the last day of camp. Productions include musicals, comedies, dramas, classics, new plays, and films.
Musical Theatre Summer Conservatory -- This unique musical theatre intensive allows students wor work with professional performers and educators in all areas of msical theatre in a residential setting, with a culminating production.
Seattle Children's Theatre Drama School -- School-year and summer classes and Summer Season productions provide young people participatory theatre education and theatre arts training taught by professional artists.
WASHINGTON D.C.
